Welcome back to the 2023-2025 school year! This morning the students are busy going to classes and trying to navigate the school. Students entered excited and ready for the challenge. Thank you for your patience this morning if you were dropping your child off to school. We are ready to start the year and push them academically like they have never been before.

Please note that schedules are still being reviewed by guidance and there may be changes prior to the first day of school. Their focus at this time is on ensuring everyone is scheduled with the appropriate classes and that students are on track for graduation. Because this is an extremely busy time of year for our counselors, we ask that you give them a little grace as the year is opening, and only reach out if you have a concern about their schedule (a missing core subject, period, or an incorrect level (Honors, Academic). Counselors contact information (Grades 8-9) for schedule issues is:

Parent Drop Off and Pick Up
Below you will see the directions on how to drop off students and pick up students from the Intermediate High School. In addition, we have added a short video to assist with this procedure.
New this year, is that all 8th and 9th grade students that are getting dropped off have to enter from Foundry Road (Red Raider Road). You will not be permitted to enter from the front entrance at CASH.
Students will be dismissed at 2:10 p.m. and they will board their buses. If picking up students , please drive safely.
As always the first two weeks of school there will be timing issues with buses as everything gets situated, please be considerate as we work on getting the students onto the buses as they maybe running a little late. I promise you that it will get quicker as we move forward.
CHROMEBOOKS/TECHNOLOGY
Please remember to charge your Chromebook and be sure to bring your school issued Chromebook and Charger the first day of school. If your child doesn’t have a Chromebook, they will be issued one during the first few weeks of school.
- For new students- chromebooks are being formatted and will be handed out to those students in the 1st and 2nd weeks of school.
- For students who have broken or lost chromebooks we will lend you a chromebook until yours can be replaced.
- 9th grade students- will continue to use your current chromebook and when the new chromebooks come in you will turn in your old chromebook and receive a new one.
The annual technology insurance fees for the 2023-24 school year were posted to Rev Track. As always, the technology insurance fee for students receiving compass benefits is waived.
Also, there is an annual cap of $100 per family to support families with multiple children. Please remit the posted technology insurance fees before the start of the school year - The discount is applied at checkout.
- Grades K-12: $40 per student
- The annual technology insurance fee includes one device repair per school year at no cost – The most common repair is replacing a screen at a cost of $450 for devices.
- Subsequent repairs beyond the first repair per school year incur a progressive repair deductible, depending on the device type.
REMINDERS FOR THIS YEAR
- All doors are now alarmed.
- Students must enter and exit using the front stairs by the attendance office (even during transitions between CAIHS and CASH).

Parents - Please Update your Child's Information!
The District will continue to utilize PowerSchool Enrollment to manage our online Student Information Update process. This system is a secure and streamlined process which allows the District to verify all student demographic, emergency, and medical information. The system will also allow families to electronically sign annual permission forms.
An email was sent on August 15th to the first parent/guardian listed for each current student in grades 1-12 who attended Coatesville Area School District last year and are returning for the 2022-2023 school year. This email notification will include your student’s snapcode and a snapcode link, which will take you directly to your child’s online registration.
Should you have any questions or concerns pertaining to the form, please do not hesitate to contact us at 610-466-2420.
ATTENDANCE
If your child requires an early dismissal from school, a written note is required with the date, requested time for dismissal, purpose of the request and a contact number for verification. If your family is planning an educational trip or vacation, please submit those requests to the Attendance Office at least two weeks in advance of the absence. Please limit absences and appointments to emergencies only. Being present in school and actively participating is paramount to success.
